Step-Up program is open to Pinoys with Disabilities

The Step-Up program is a scholarship program for those who want to become teachers after graduating from a different degree or those who are already studying education but are unable to finish it because of financial or similar difficulties. This scholarship is seeking PWD applicants.

After meeting with representatives of PWDPhil.com Inc, Philippine Business for Education (PBED) representative Dianne Fajardo, has stated that her prganization is more than willing to extend these scholarships to PWDs, specifically those who are likers of the PWDPhil.com Inc. homepage.

If you are a Pinoy with Disability (PWDPhil.com Inc) and you are:

1. A former or current student of BSE or BEED (incoming college junior of third year)

2. Has discontinued studies due to financial reasons of medical issues but are currently able to return to finish your degree in education

3. A college graduate working in another profession but wants to take a Certificate in Teaching Program (CTP is a program that has 18 units taken in partner universities) and become a licensed teacher

4. Willing to take the Licensure Examinations for Teachers after finishing the scholarship

5. Willing to apply at the DepEd to become a tenured and licensed public school teacher.

6. Not more than 45 years old.

Then the Step-Up opportunity is the one for you.

To avail of this scholarship, you wil need to take an exam and after 2 weeks you will know if you qualify.

Partner universities are spread all over the country, from NCR to Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. You need not travel to Manila to study because most likely there is a partner university near you. These universities are:

Philippine Normal University-Manila

Centro Escolar University-Manila

De La Salle University-Lipa

Ateneo de Naga University

Bicol University-Legazpi

    Hello po I just want to ask if papano po if I already finished my study but not in your partner universities but I want to be a part of it what will I do?

  2. Hello Irish! kung college ka na, pwede ka mag apply. the partner universities is where you will take the CTP course if you pass the assessment. Kung PWD ka, message and I will help you submit your application. If not, you can go directly to them. Good luck Irish and I hope you make it!

    Good pm po. . . Graduate po ako ng BS Psychology, naaksidente po ako 3years ago, kaya PWD n po ako. Gusto ko po sana kumuha ng units para makapagturo po ako.
